New regional Jolt HQ in Montreal
Jolt Capital opens North America Headquarters in Montreal, on the occasion of the Conference de Montreal, organized by the International Economic Forum of the Americas.
This expansion across the Atlantic is in line with Jolt Capital's international development strategy. After consolidating its position as the leading European fund specializing in deeptech growth, Jolt Capital has chosen Canada as its first outpost outside Europe. The new office's mission will be twofold: to prospect for new investors for the Jolt Capital V fund and its successors, and to create an operational platform for the growth of Jolt Capital portfolio companies in North America, while managing Jolt Capital's other points of presence in Silicon Valley and Boston.
To run the office, Jolt Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Clement Bourgogne, as Director of Investor Relations for Canada, as well as the upcoming relocation to Montreal of Eoghan Hickey, one of the fund's historical partners, who will become Managing Director Canada, who has been with Jolt Capital since 2015 and currently manages the deals department.
Jean Schmitt, Managing Partner and President of Jolt Capital comments: “All deeptech growth companies address global markets very early in their growth. North America is of course a key milestone for our companies' expansion, and our offices are there to help them set up operations, find strategic partners, make acquisitions or co-invest. With their rich and diverse tech ecosystems as well as their proximity to the US, Canada and Montreal provide a highly strategic opportunity to anchor our North American headquarters.”
