Jolt appoints new Managing Director for the US
Jolt Capital, the leading European Deeptech growth investment firm, appoints Valéry Talma as Managing Director US – Investor Relations.
Based in the Silicon Valley, Valéry joins Jolt Capital’s growing investor relations team, led from Paris by General Partner and Chief IR Officer Eric Arnould. Valéry will contribute to the development of Jolt Capital's activities in the US by leading local fundraising efforts and actively participating in the M&A and exit program for the existing portfolio.

Valery started his career at JP Morgan, UBS and Credit Agricole CIB, in Paris and London. He executed over USD 70Bn worth of transactions in M&A, debt and equity capital markets and structured finance, in over 20 countries and held global responsibilities for the Media Investment Banking sectors. In 2009, he was detached to the Middle East for CACIB, and went on to lead prominent investment banking teams and operations, for HSBC as Head of Investment Banking in Saudi Arabia and for Gulf Bank in Kuwait, as Deputy General Manager in charge of Corporate Banking Products, where he built and grew the Investment Banking, Structured Finance and Transaction Banking business units. He relocated to the Silicon Valley in 2018, where he developed an expertise in Fintech and investment management, as a VC investor and CEO of a quantitative investment company that launched 4 ETFs listed on the Nasdaq and raised over USD300m. In 2022, he became a partner, President and Chief Revenue Officer at QueensField AI Technologies, an AI-driven quantitative investment management Fintech, where he developed relationships with US institutional asset managers.
Valery holds a BA in Economics and Business from UCLA (magna cum laude). He obtained a BSc. in International Affairs from HEC Paris. He studied Computer Science and AI at Stanford University. He contributed to the MIT EdEx course “Financial Regulation: From the Global Financial Crisis to Fintech”. Finally, he is a former officer in the French Navy where he led several operations in conflict areas.
