Jean-Philippe Milon joins as Operating Partner
Jean-Philippe Milon has spent 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including almost 20 with Bayer Group, in France and in Germany. He has experience at the highest level in areas like business development and licensing of health products and services. After his last posting at Bayer Pharma in Berlin in 2011 (as EVP in charge of biz dev, licensing and M&A, reporting to group’s CEO), he joined a leader in minimally invasive robotic surgery (Intuitive Surgical) as VP Sales & Marketing, then became COO, CEO and Chairman of a biotech firm, and also member of the board of directors of several pharma companies in France and in the US (Ionisos, Landanger, Parexel International, Aurora, Synerlab).
At Jolt Capital, he joins a group of incumbent operating partners Henri Richard (ex-NetApp), François Barbier (ex-Flex), Yves Maître (ex-HTC), Jens Olsen (ex-Maersk), Dan Newman (ex-Sofinnova) and Jean-Marc Daillance (ex-Zodiac Aerospace). His knowledge in the fields of life sciences and human health brings Jolt Capital a wealth of expertise that was not covered by the existing team of operating partners.
Jean Schmitt said: “Jean-Philippe Milon’s arrival at Jolt Capital is outstanding for us. This will allow us to dig deeper in e-health and medical devices, especially those powered by AI. That’s the case for several companies currently in our portfolio, like BC Platforms, BioSerenity or BOYDSense. Jean-Philippe has held high-level positions in a prominent corporation, has been involved in a wide spectrum of areas, from biotechs to surgical robotics, from oncology to cardiology. On top of that, his international network of executives will prove extremely useful when it comes to scaling our portfolio companies.”
“It’s an honor and a delight to join Jolt Capital’s team. I’m thrilled to bring them my expertise in the field of human health, and to collaborate with experts involved in the development of innovative and impactful solutions.” said Jean-Philippe Milon.
Jean-Philippe Milon (born in 1960) holds a PharmD and an MBA from ESCP Business School in Paris. Before joining Bayer in 1993, he had started his career with Sandoz, Beecham and Centocor.
